Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor FF&E, Healthcare, Education & Residential

Location: Mansfield (site-based with occasional travel across the UK)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (Day shift)

Salary: up to £45k (Negotiable DOE)

Start Date: Immediate (flexible for notice periods)

With a reputation for exceptional customer service and a commitment to quality, they are seeking a diligent and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the procurement and onboarding of subcontractors.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract orders.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor accounts from award to final account.
  • Review and process subcontractor payment applications.
  • Assist in preparing payment notices and certificates.
  • Maintain a comprehensive variation tracker for all subcontract installation packages.
  • Record, assess, and value change events in line with contract procedures.
  • Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to gather supporting evidence for variations.
  • Ensure variations are captured early and communicated internally.
  • Support value recovery from subcontract installations.
  • Assist with client application processes and scheduling.
  • Challenge client assessments where necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Quantity Surveying (QS, Assistant QS, Junioer QS) role.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
