Technical Designer (CAD) - Security Sector - with a Company Car or Car Allowance

Location: Manchester, Office-based with flexible working

Hours: 37 hours per week, full-time

Salary: From £43,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus a Company Car or Car Allowance

What You'll Do

As our Technical Designer (CAD), you'll play a central role in designing high-spec, multi-disciplined security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Alarms, from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed technical designs using AutoCAD, BIM 360, and related design tools.
• Prepare wiring schematics, electrical block diagrams, and layout plans.
• Liaise directly with clients and attend design review meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date drawing registers and project documentation.
• Support health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
• Stay current with industry certifications and support accreditations.
• Promote the business and contribute to future opportunities.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong fit if you have:

• Proven experience in the utilities or security sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other CAD/CFD design tools.
• A solid understanding of technical schematics, electrical layouts, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing meetings.
