Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to play a crucial role in our payroll team. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This role suits a highly organized, quality-focused individual capable of meeting deadlines and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to maintain employee data, ensuring strong relationships and exceptional service.
- Manage the entire payroll process, including RTI filing, pension uploads, and report generation.
- Maintain meticulous records and a robust document control system for accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated with company policies and tax legislation impacting payroll, ensuring adherence.
- Prepare month-end journals and reports for posting and audits.
- Prepare and submit CIS submissions.
- Train and oversee junior payroll team members.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience managing payroll for multiple clients, preferably in a practice or professional services setting.
- Ability to generate and interpret payroll reports, ensuring accuracy in earnings, deductions, taxes, and pensions.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex payroll concepts clearly to clients.
- Strong attention to detail and efficiency in completing tasks.
Additional Requirements
- Deep knowledge of HMRC legislation and Pension Auto Enrolment.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection laws related to payroll.
- Strong computer literacy and numerical skills, familiarity with payroll software such as BrightPay is desirable.
