Key Responsibilities

As a Security Engineer, you will build and manage services to detect and mitigate cybersecurity threats across Amazon's infrastructure. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other security professionals to develop innovative security solutions that protect AWS customers and maintain their trust.

You will work within a team of industry-leading security experts to operate and improve security programs related to personnel security, physical and logical security, education, awareness, assurance, and cybersecurity.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
  • Experience programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS products and services
  • Experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
