What You'll Be Doing

No two days will be the same - but here's the core of the role:

  • You'll work closely with the Grower Manager on all aspects of crop production, from transplanting to dispatch.
  • You'll oversee growing tasks like irrigation, pest and disease management, crop protection and quality control.
  • You'll ensure the growing team are working safely and efficiently, delivering crops to agreed specs and timelines.
  • You'll also be involved in managing environmental controls and maintaining accurate growing records.

What You'll Need

  • Experience in a commercial nursery environment - ideally in ornamental plants.
  • Your PA1 and PA6 are great, but training can be provided for the right person.
  • A good understanding of crop production methods - irrigation, transplanting, spacing, pest control.
  • Confidence with computers - most systems here are automated or digitally managed.
