Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Street Cleansing Driver to join the Environmental Management team at a Local Authority operating in the Heywood area. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week on an initial three-month assignment.
Main Duties
- Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles as part of the street cleansing service
- Driving assigned routes to collect litter, debris, and fly-tipped waste
- Supporting the team with manual street cleansing tasks when needed
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly
- Working in line with health and safety procedures at all times
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations
Essential Criteria
- A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence
- A current Driver CPC card
- Ability and willingness to carry out both driving and physical street cleansing duties
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, though training will be provided
