Job Description

NHS Grampian is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to lead and deliver high-quality care across both Outpatient and Inpatient Adult Eating Disorder services. This is a newly configured post offering an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a key leadership role in helping develop the services evolution in response to the Scottish Government's review and new specification guidance for Eating Disorders services in Scotland.

You will work within a well-established multidisciplinary team, providing Psychiatric leadership and clinical input to both the Grampian Eating Disorder Service (GEDS) and the Eden Unit, a regional specialist inpatient facility.

Candidates will have access to a generous relocation package (please contact us for details), a personal office and IT equipment and a dedicated medical secretary to support their role. Travel expenses are available as per board policy.

There will be involvement in the training and development of resident doctors and candidates are actively encouraged to become involved in delivering medical education.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview.

Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).

Applications from doctors with appropriate specialist training and experience who are not listed on the GMC Specialist Register can be considered for a Locum Consultant post (up to 12 months) if no substantive Consultant appointment is made. Whilst in locum employment, an application to obtain a CESR / CESR (CP) and entry onto the Specialist Register can be made
