Learning Support Assistants (Full-Time) - Supporting Pupils with Complex Needs
Location: East Kent
Pay Rate: 90 - 95 per day

Are you committed to helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our schools in East Kent, supporting students with a range of complex needs.



The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Offer one-to-one and small group support tailored to EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) objectives.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships to support each pupil's emotional and academic development.

  • Help students understand and manage their behaviours.

  • Work closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to create a consistent and inclusive support network.

  • Deliver personalised learning plans and assist in daily classroom activities.

  • Please note: This role may involve personal care duties.


What We're Looking For:

  • A caring, flexible, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.

  • Experience in a similar setting (education or care) is advantageous, but not essential.

  • A full UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to location).

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

  • Willingness to provide personal care, including support with feeding and toileting.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to commute up to an hour to the school

  • Legal right to work in the UK

  • Experience with PMLD or SEN is an asset

  • Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the update service-or willingness to apply

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and emotional resilience
