Job Description

The In-house Employment Lawyer will be:

  • Leading contentious employment litigation and tribunal representation
  • Advising on non contentious matters: restructures, policies, TUPE, redundancy
  • Supporting HR on investigations, disciplinary processes, and settlement agreements
  • Monitoring and advising on employment and people-related regulatory changes
  • Coaching internal stakeholders and delivering training sessions as needed

The Successful Applicant

The In-house Employment Lawyer should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE in employment law
  • Skilled in both contentious and non contentious employment matters
  • Experienced with FS regulatory frameworks (e.g., SMCR, FCA/PRA)
  • A clear communicator with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
  • Comfortable working in-house within a complex, collaborative legal function
