Job Description

MCS Group is seeking an ambitious Application Support Analyst for a new role within one of their longest standing clients. Are you a hands-on software support professional with experience leading teams and supporting business-critical software? Are you looking to take that next step in your career while still retaining your technical troubleshooting skills? We're looking for an ambitious application support professional with team lead or management experience who is keen to take ownership of our client's support function, lead a small team and help shape the next phase of their established product's success.

About the Role

You'll head up an experienced team of software support professionals, focused on support and established product used by a range of private sector clients across FMCG, manufacturing, and haulage.

You'll be managing a small, friendly support team (currently made up of 3 team members), with the opportunity to shape and grow the function in the future. This is a player-coach role: you'll lead and coordinate the team, while remaining hands-on in supporting and resolving issues yourself.

You'll deal directly with clients and get the opportunity to participate in and lead service management review meetings.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the ERP support team.
  • Provide hands-on support for customer issues and work with wider technical teams to resolve complex incidents; liaising with Business Analysts and Developers to manage and escalate critical fixes.
  • Represent the support function in customer-facing service reviews and ensure a high standard of client satisfaction.
  • Help shape the future of the support team through resource planning and mentorship.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a support lead or managerial role, ideally supporting ERP, accounting or complex business software.
  • Hands-on technical troubleshooting skills and comfort diving into customer issues directly.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Why Join?

  • Make a real impact in a role with both leadership and hands-on responsibility.
  • Work with a mature, stable product that plays a key role in our client's success.
  • Be part of a friendly, collaborative team where your input is genuinely valued.
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with extremely limited out-of-hours requirements and plenty of working from home (1-2 days per week in office in Belfast).

Salary

Up to £55,000 with a package that includes up to 10% matched pension contribution, healthcare, free parking and bonus.
