Senior Business Analyst

Fixed Term Contract

Grade 5 - £41,511 - £49,764

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedBusiness Analystto support a strategic transformation project within ourChildren and Familiesservice area. This is a 12-month contract focused on mapping and aligning business processes across multiple service areas, with a strong emphasis on data and systems analysis.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct end-to-endprocess mappingfor each service area within Children and Families.
  • Identify and documentcommonalities and variancesacross service areas to support process alignment.
  • Analyse and recorddata capture points,applications used, andsystem dependencies.
  • Identify and report onbarriers to effective use of existing systems, including usability, integration, and data quality issues.
  • Engage with stakeholders across directorates to gather insights and validate findings.
  • Produce clear documentation and visualisations to support decision-making and service improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in public sector or social care settings.
  • Strong background inprocess mapping,service design, andbusiness process reengineering.
  • Familiarity withChildren and Families servicesand related statutory frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
