The WHS Data team is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE). This team provides reporting solutions to support workplace safety and regulatory compliance worldwide. The BIE will primarily support the data and reporting needs for the Business Unit (BU) BI team within WHS. The role involves engaging with senior leaders and PMs to generate insights into core metrics that impact organizational decisions. It requires proficiency in complex SQL scripting and the ability to work independently to produce high-quality products. The role also involves communicating project roadmaps, priorities, and release notes to stakeholders, including leadership.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Design, implement, and deliver BI solutions for complex problems.
  • Conduct deep dive analyses and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for analytical reporting and strategic decision-making.
  • Create written reports and insights to inform metric development and reporting.
  • Simplify and automate reporting and data activities.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve data infrastructure and access.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and proper documentation.
  • Learn and apply new technologies to support innovation.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Matlab.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting in Python for data processing.
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with AWS solutions like EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining, ETL processes, and handling large datasets.
  • Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
