Job Description

Hays are looking for an experienced Multi-Trades Person who is able to work at a prison near Lincoln.

The role will be working within the maintenance department, concentrating on reactive and planned projects within the establishment. The main areas of focus will be:

1) Plumbing support
2) Painting/Decorating
3) Emergency Lighting
4) Carpentry
5) General maintenance of buildings and facilities

Depending on the size of the work, you may find yourself working independently or working with a team. The client provides tools and uniforms and will also provide training on keys and radios.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 39 hours per week, plus overtime at the weekend.

It is essential you hold an NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent in a relevant skill set.

This role is a fundamental part of the organisation and requires you to have good communication skills, be able to follow strict procedures and have the initiative to notify senior staff if there are any problems. You will be required to have an enhanced security clearance carried out by the organisation to ensure you are able to work on site. The security clearance will require you to have photo ID such as a valid passport or photo card driving licence.

This is a temporary role that will be ongoing. This job is to start as soon as your security clearance has been obtained.
