Class 1 - Ad hoc shifts

Interaction recruitment are recruiting HGV Class 1 DAY drivers Monday- Friday to work with one of our large distribution clients in Barnsley. Our client is a distributor for soft drinks/beverages (Coco cola and others).

Job description/what they do;

General haulage/Curtain sider

Delivering pallets of soft drinks

Some cash and carry deliveries

May require bit of trunking/ trailer work.

ASAP -

Day rate - £15.30 (PAYE)

Night rate - £16.00 (PAYE)

Weekend availbility - Rate Varies

Shifts ;

Ad hoc- Morning shifts between 03:00am and 08:00am

Evening shift - between 15:00pm and 20:00pm

Between 8-9 hours shifts

Please bare in mind, if you are successful the client usually conducts an induction which takes 2-3 hours- Clips of videos and 8 questions to answer, as well as going through policy documents.

About You:

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence- 1+years experience

No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions

Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards

Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation

Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly

Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements

Excellent communication skills
