Niyaa people are partnered with a property consultancy in Birmingham that are looking for a CAD Technician on a permanent basis. Our client are looking for an experienced CAD Technician with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Building Services.
Key Responsibilities for the CAD Technician:
- Support project leads across all RIBA work stages
- Produce accurate technical drawings and computations as required
- Stay up to date with industry developments and maintain CPD commitments
- Adhere to internal procedures including document filing and CAD layering standards
- Escalate any legal, contractual, or financial matters to a Partner
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and Revit 3D
- Current workload is approximately 95% 2D and 5% 3D, with a gradual shift anticipated towards 3D
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- City and Guilds Certificate in Computer Aided Design (2D and 3D) is an advantage
