Working for this well-established mechanical component distributor as Branch Supervisor, you ll oversee day to day staff and branch functionality, looking after staff rota s and ensuring the branch is running as it should be.

Salary Up to £35,000 Per Annum

The Role

You ll ensure seamless branch operations, focusing on accurate order picking, timely deliveries, and strict adherence to customer and branch requirements. You ll manage warranty returns, ensure sales invoices are processed online, and that quotations are handled within a day, updating customers as needed.

Daily stock management, including booking goods in and out, will be key, as will handling cash and petty cash reconciliation through appropriate systems. You ll also oversee gas and stock counts, maintain orderly administration, monitor outstanding debts, and enforce branch policies.

In people management, you ll report absences, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and support grievance and disciplinary matters per company policy.

For health and safety, you ll ensure correct PPE use, report accidents, verify delivery vehicle documentation, and maintain a safe and clean warehouse. Finally, you ll coordinate agency staff training, ensure fire safety compliance, and organize fire drills if needed during your coverage.

The call out requirement is 1 or 2 in 4 weeks out of hours. You will receive additional pay for being on call and call out pay for any call outs.
