Job Title: Carpentry Foreman

Location: Plymouth and surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, Based on experience £35,000 - £40,000 plus company van

We are currently working on behalf of a reputable construction firm known for delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpentry Foreman to lead their on-site carpentry team and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate carpentry crews on-site

Interpret blueprints, plans, and schedules to guide carpentry work

Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with building codes and company standards

Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site

Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and other trades

Provide hands-on carpentry support where required

Maintain accurate records of work progress and site conditions

Train and mentor junior carpenters

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman or Senior Carpenter

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player

Valid drivers license and own transport preferred

SSSTS or SMSTS certified.
