Build Technician

About this Position:
This role involves working as part of a specialist team responsible for building high-end bespoke vehicles across a range of exclusive product lines, including classic restorations, coachbuilt models, and custom collections. The position also supports the maintenance of heritage fleet vehicles and various build, update, and sign-off processes. It requires a flexible, safety-conscious, and multi-skilled technician who can contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Job Responsibilities:
Build development and saleable vehicles to the highest standards across multiple trade disciplines.
Maintain a strong safety and environmental focus in all activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Coach and mentor junior team members to help develop departmental capability.
Operate in line with build documentation and support best practice in manufacturing processes.
Act as a knowledge holder in specialist areas and contribute to resolving complex build issues.
Collaborate with internal project teams including Quality, Technical, and Commercial departments.
Experience Required:
Recognised technical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Expertise in a core trade skill with competency in a second discipline.
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities.
Experience using specialist engineering tools, reporting systems, and diagnostic software.
Effective communicator with influencing skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and safely with high-value components and vehicles.
