We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to support and enhance the automation systems within a high-speed manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, and improving Siemens PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal, ensuring production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex automation systems and delivering continuous improvements within a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal across production machinery and automated systems. Diagnose and resolve automation, control, and communication faults to minimise production downtime. Support upgrades, improvements, and optimisation of existing automation systems. Implement software changes, edits, and version control within PLC and HMI systems. Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical issues. Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for PLC programs and system changes. Requirements: Experience working with Siemens PLCs (S7 series) and TIA Portal in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills in PLC-controlled machinery. Knowledge of industrial networks and communications (e.g., Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP or similar). Experience with HMI/SCADA systems within TIA Portal. Understanding of electrical control systems and automation hardware.

As a Switchgear Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, testing and fault-finding of LV and HV switchgear and associated power distribution equipment. The role is primarily site-based, combining hands-on technical work with direct customer interaction. You will support critical electrical infrastructure, ensuring systems operate safely, reliably and in line with relevant standards and procedures. This position suits an engineer with a strong electrical background, confident working on live environments where downtime must be minimised and safety is essential. The ideal candidate will be experienced in electrical power systems and will strictly adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements at all times. Job Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on LV and HV switchgear, including switchboards, distribution boards, breakers and protection devices. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on power distribution systems in operational environments. Perform inspection, testing and verification of electrical installations in accordance with relevant standards and site procedures. Support commissioning activities for new or modified LV and HV switchgear installations. Assist with testing and verification of electrical interfaces to power monitoring, metering and control systems. Experience required: Strong background in electrical engineering with proven experience working on LV and HV switchgear. Hands-on experience with LV and HV switchboards, circuit breakers, protection relays and power distribution equipment. Ability to safely carry out fault-finding, maintenance and testing on electrical systems. Relevant electrical qualifications (for example NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
