Mechanical Supervisor
Central London
£50,000

Our clients are on the look for a Mechanical bias Supervisor to join their team on a large commercial property based in the City of London. The Mechanical Supervisor will be expected to work and take care of a large team of engineers on the landlord side of the building.

You will be responsible for mechanical and electrical planned and reactive maintenance, remedial works and emergency response on site. The Supervisor will need to be Mechanically biased holding City and Guilds / NVQ qualifications whilst also being multi-skilled with good all-round building services maintenance knowledge. This role will be working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

Key Duties:
  • Identify and diagnose faults, conducting repairs, adjustments, and necessary maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Perform routine servicing, repairs, or adjustments on plant or machinery as per the planned maintenance schedule provided by Engineering Supervisors, Building Services Manager, and FM Help desk.
  • Adopt a flexible approach, utilising various skills or trades as required to ensure cost-effective task completion.
  • Execute additional skilled tasks for which proficiency has been demonstrated.
  • Monitor plant equipment, recording data accurately using provided documentation.
  • Strive for optimal plant and equipment efficiency by adhering to prescribed requirements and instructions.
  • Aid in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in work areas, removing waste and debris as necessary.
  • Document and complete daily time/task sheets following established procedures.
Duties:

  • Supervising a team of engineers
  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.

Requirements:
  • City & Guilds qualified in either Mechanical Engineering or recognised qualifications
  • Ability to lead a team of maintenance engineers
  • Commercial Building Service Maintenance Experience (At least 5 years prior)
  • Career driven and ambition to progress further
  • Polite and personable
