About the Role

The Senior Specialist Student Record Systems (SRS) plays a vital role in ensuring the effective development, configuration, and technical support of their Student Information System.

Acting as the key technical expert for our client s SRS, you will work closely with their Technology Applications team to ensure the system runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. Your work will directly impact the day-to-day experience of their students and staff, and you ll play a leading role in developing and enhancing their systems for the future.

What You ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Technology Solutions Architect to design and deliver effective SRS developments and configurations.
  • Lead on technical maintenance, upgrades, and change control processes for the UNIT-e system.
  • Carry out feasibility studies and contribute to application and requirement analysis reviews.
  • Manage and coordinate third-party vendor relationships for SRS-related projects.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices in project management and system development.
  • Maintain secure and accurate configuration of sensitive student data.
  • Prioritise stakeholder experience when planning and delivering system changes, minimising disruption.
  • Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation and training materials.
  • Support the creation and review of policies, procedures, and system-related processes.
  • Occasionally support out-of-hours work, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

What You ll Bring:

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with UNIT-e administration, maintenance, and curriculum building.
  • Strong working knowledge of process flows, RepGens, business rules, and application support.
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycles and ability to deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or .NET.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent service and system performance within a Higher Education context.
