Freelance Cost Planner

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cost Planner to join a reputable London-based developer on a freelance basis.

In this role, you will be supporting the pre-construction team across a diverse portfolio of residential schemes. You must have proven experience delivering cost plans for both high-rise RC frame developments and housing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates across multiple projects
• Work closely with design, planning, and commercial teams
• Assess feasibility, provide budget advice, and support value engineering
• Analyse subcontractor pricing, benchmarks, and market trends
• Assist in early-stage procurement strategies

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in cost planning for high-rise RC frame and housing projects
• Strong understanding of construction methods and pre-construction processes
• Proficient in relevant cost planning software (e.g., CostX, Excel)
• Ability to manage workload across multiple schemes
• Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
