Are you an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 teacher with a heart for helping children flourish in their early learning journey?

A caring, one-form entry primary school in Halewood is seeking a vibrant and committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. Whether you're an experienced KS1 practitioner or a strong ECT, this is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact in a nurturing, child-first environment.

Why This School?

  • A school culture built on relationships, routines, and readiness to learn
  • Ample opportunity for collaboration, innovation, and growth-even as a single-form school

The Role:

  • Teach a class of Year 1 children, supporting their transition from the play-based EYFS model to the more structured KS1 approach
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that develop core literacy, numeracy, and personal skills
  • Deliver daily phonics instruction (training provided if needed)
  • Create a calm, consistent classroom environment rooted in routine, praise, and high expectations
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff to support pupils' progress and wellbeing

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with KS1 or EYFS experience preferred
  • Passion for early child development and age-appropriate pedagogy
  • Knowledge of phonics schemes, early writing strategies, and Year 1 curriculum expectations
  • Organised, reflective, and creative teaching approach
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Enthusiasm, warmth, and a genuine interest in building positive relationships with young learners

What the School Offers:

  • A friendly and supportive staff team in a one-form entry environment
  • A well-equipped learning space with strong indoor and outdoor provision
  • Professional development tailored to your experience and goals
  • Opportunities for long-term progression, including permanent placement
  • Pupils who are well-behaved, motivated, and enjoy learning
  • Leadership that listens, values staff, and promotes a healthy work culture

Safeguarding Statement:

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are subject to Enhanced DBS clearance, satisfactory references, eligibility to work in the UK, and an online search in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education (2022) statutory guidance.
