Global Catalog Operations team at Amazon is looking for a highly motivated and talented candidate for the role of Catalog Specialist II. Proficiency in written and verbal English is a fundamental requirement for this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quality audits and recommending high-confidence corrections to Amazon's retail catalog. The candidate is also expected to use human judgment to make decisions on behalf of our customers. Strong qualitative research, quantitative analysis, communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are essential for this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the execution of content audits, adhering to established processes, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and decision-making skills during content audits, even with ambiguous or incomplete information.
- Use editorial expertise to approve or disapprove audit entries based on pre-defined guidelines, providing well-reasoned explanations.
- Communicate audit results effectively to relevant stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Create high-quality textual content for Amazon products to enhance the customer's e-commerce experience.
- Develop or curate prompts/instructions to improve system output quality.
- Analyze system-generated outputs and use feedback to fine-tune instructions, improving precision and recall.
- Validate and enrich catalog data using external sources to ensure reliability and relevance.
- Utilize search techniques to locate specific products both internally and externally.
- Analyze data to identify emerging trends and contribute insights for strategic decisions.
- Produce executive metrics and recommend process and system improvements.
- Master Seller Support operations and tools.
- Recommend improvements in audit activities.
- Communicate effectively, maintain professionalism, and serve as a resource and mentor for others.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data to influence decisions.
- Knowledge of SQL and Advanced Excel (Array and Statistical formulas).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Arts, or Literature with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in American English (verbal, written, reading, comprehension).
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Familiarity with online retail and internet search industries, managing queues for SLA compliance.
- Willingness to work with sensitive issues, including adult content, religious and philosophical issues, and potentially offensive products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, MySQL, ETL) and working with large datasets.
- Experience managing critical operational processes with SLA responsibility.
