An established environment team is seeking a Landscape Planner at Consultant level to join one of their offices in Manchester, Bristol, or Newcastle. The team works on projects across the UK, delivering high-quality and sustainable development services. The Role: Landscape planning is central to project delivery, with strategic landscape analysis helping to shape development principles and inform sustainable design. This role will involve supporting a range of landscape planning workstreams, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA), landscape appraisals, and greenbelt/greybelt assessments. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members on high-profile schemes, including those involving planning appeals and coordination with legal professionals. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for sustainable development, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills. Key Skills and Experience: A degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or working towards chartership) Some experience in LVIA, feasibility studies, and landscape planning Strong report writing and research skills Ideally, experience in sectors such as residential or energy development Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team A proactive and organised approach, with good commercial awareness
