Qualifications needed:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are recruiting for a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist in the Redbridge Child Development Centre, Grovelands, Grove Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, RM6 4XH. This is a new, full-time, substantive role, with immediate recruitment intentions.

You will join a team comprising 1.9wte CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 2.1wte Specialty Doctors, and 1 Core Trainee, influencing future service directions.

Job responsibilities
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Redbridge
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and their families, liaising with external CAMHS providers and hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1:14), with a 3% on-call supplement
  • Support peers and team leaders, working collaboratively and independently as appropriate
  • Collaborate with team members including 1.9wte CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 2.1wte Specialty Doctors, and 1 Core Trainee
Person Specification GMC
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
Qualifications

  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
