Qualified GCSE Maths Tutor - Afterschool Sessions (Bromley)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and qualified GCSE Maths Tutor to deliver one-to-one tuition to secondary school students in Bromley. This role is perfect for tutors who want to help young learners build confidence, improve their maths skills, and achieve success in their GCSEs through focused, personalised support.
You will provide engaging and tailored lessons designed to close learning gaps and boost attainment, working primarily in afterschool sessions. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping students who may be struggling or need extra exam preparation outside of regular school hours.
CONTRACT DETAILS
- Location: Various locations across Bromley
- Position: GCSE Maths Tutor (Afterschool)
- Contract Type: Temporary, contract-based
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Dependent on student needs
- Hours: Flexible evening hours; typically after school (1-3 hours per session)
- Pay Rate: Starting at 25 per hour (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring qualifications)
- Proven experience tutoring or teaching GCSE Maths
- Ability to deliver engaging, clear, and personalised lessons
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (within the last year) is desirable
- Experience supporting students preparing for exams is a strong advantage
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to apply
- Two professional child-related references covering the last two years
