Role overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting a comprehensive technical assessment of how the proposed future scope may impact the existing contactless rail payment system architecture developed in earlier phases.

• Performing detailed evaluations of external technical proposals, including industry-standard specifications such as EMV, to assess feasibility and compatibility with future system enhancements.

• Defining the implications of the proposed future scope on current compliance and certification outcomes, ensuring any regulatory or operational impacts are clearly documented and addressed.

• Providing technical assurance and subject matter expertise to support decision-making for the agreed future solution scope. This includes evaluating integration with system components, enhancements to functionality, revenue inspection processes, and service monitoring requirements.
  
  Experience needed:
  
  

• Strong experience in designing and assessing complex transport or fare collection system architectures, preferably in multi-modal environments.

• Proven ability to evaluate technical proposals and provide assurance across compliance, certification, and systems integration.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to collaborate with technical teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

• Strong analytical and documentation skills to articulate architectural impacts and support strategic decision-making. (Rullion is a recruitment agency)
