Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Our client is an established engineering consultancy, seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its dynamic design team. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive civil engineering services for residential and commercial development projects, from pre-acquisition assessments through to post-planning design and site supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead infrastructure design tasks on assigned projects, reporting to the Principal Engineer.
Produce high-quality drawings and designs using AutoCAD and relevant software.
Manage technical discussions with local authorities for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278).
Coordinate with statutory utility providers for service layouts and quotations.
Ensure private infrastructure designs comply with current codes and best practices.
Collaborate effectively with architects, M&E engineers, and clients.
Stay up to date with legislation, design standards, and industry changes.
Contribute to value engineering and feasibility studies to support project viability.
Mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
Support project documentation and meet internal quality and health & safety standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in infrastructure design.
Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with PDS and WinDes essential.
Familiar with highway and drainage design standards and Codes of Practice.
Understanding of Sewers for Adoption and the CIRIA SuDS Manual.
Experience with Civil 3D and Flood Risk Assessments is desirable.
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering; working toward professional chartership.
Strong time management, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
