Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (Full Time, Temporary)
Northumberland, Ashington area
£444.60 - £465.00 per week (depending on salary and experience)

The School and Role

We are looking for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly primary school in Ashington, Northumberland. Working as part of an established team, the desired Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant will be supporting in a large mixed Year 4/5 class, including delivering daily maths and literacy interventions. The successful Teaching Assistant will also be expected to deliver some one to one support when it is required throughout the week. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am 3.30pm. This school has recently been rated as good by Ofsted, and is praised for creating an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

The desired Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children, ideally within Years 4 and 5
  • Experience of delivering intervention support
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
