Job Description
As Senior Building Surveyor, you will oversee a range of housing-related responsibilities, including:
Delivery of compliance, cyclical maintenance, and improvement projects.
Day-to-day repairs, void property inspections, and refurbishment.
Project management of planned works and budgets (circa 2m).
Ensuring health and safety compliance across housing stock.
Preparation of tender specifications and contract administration.
Inspection and resolution of disrepair issues, damp and mould cases, and health and safety hazards.
Technical guidance on building-related matters, including fire safety and Disabled Facilities Grants.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone with:
A professional qualification in building construction (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree).
Membership with RICS, RIBA, or CIOB (desirable but not essential).
Experience in building surveying or architectural practice.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety, and contract law.
Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
The ability to work independently, manage contractors, and drive service improvement.
A full UK driving licence.
