You will be involved in a wide variety of rural work which includes:
- Professional instructions for a range of clients including private and corporate owners; and rural businesses, with various property holdings including estates; let and in hand farms; dwellings; commercial premises.
- RICS Red Book valuations for tax and accounts purposes.
- Advice on diversification opportunities for rural property owners and advice on how to exploit opportunities.
- Sale of rural property for new and retained clients.
You will need to be able to:
- Manage a varied and busy workload whilst managing clients' expectations.
- Work independently as well as being part of a small team.
- Work with a sense of urgency and ensure professional instructions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Keep up to date with the changing marketplace.
- Recognise new opportunities and help to develop the wider services of the firm.
As a small business we will need someone who will pitch in and get involved as and when required. Essential skills are:
- RICS qualified.
- RICS Registered Valuer (preferred but not essential).
- Self-starter, with a can-do approach and good initiative.
- Quick learner who is adaptable.
- Full clean driver's license.
- Interest in rural property.
An expanding partnership and there is good opportunity for career progression if desired.
