Are you an experienced Surveyor who thrives on delivering high-quality work across a wide range of maintenance and inspection projects? We re working with a forward-thinking housing organisation in London that s looking for a proactive and skilled surveyor to join their technical team.

This is a broad, hands-on role covering everything from complex repairs and damp & mould investigations to disrepair claims, insurance works, and planned maintenance. You ll be trusted to lead full property inspections, produce detailed reports and specifications, and manage on-site quality and project coordination through to completion.

What you ll be doing:

• Conducting full property inspections and condition surveys across multiple workstreams
• Producing high-quality inspection reports, including photo schedules, specifications (with SORs), and draft programmes
• Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure access, decants, and insurance documentation are in place
• Coordinating and monitoring live projects, tracking quality, progress, and compliance
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including emerging duties under Awaab s Law
• Overseeing insurance claims, engaging with loss adjusters, and validating contractor payments

Experience

• Solid experience in building surveying, preferably within housing or public sector environments
• Strong knowledge of reactive, planned, and cyclical maintenance workflows
• Familiarity with NHF Schedule of Rates (SORs), damp and mould diagnostics, and insurance/disrepair casework
• Organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing both technical reporting and on-site coordination
• Great communication skills and a collaborative approach
