Job Description

We are representing a leading organisation in the hospitality industry, looking for a permanent addition to their Accounts team.

The ideal candidate will have two years experience in a finance role such as an accounts assistant or similar, with exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, expense reports, and journal entries.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support the finance team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ideally 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to commute to the office in Darlington 5 days a week.
