Are you an experienced operations leader with a strong background in logistics, warehousing, delivery, and retail? Here at Henley Morgan, we are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee our clients logistics, warehouse, delivery, and operations teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As the Director of Operations, you will play a key role in leading a team of 20+ professionals, driving operational excellence, and implementing strategies that support the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a diverse team across logistics, warehouse, and delivery functions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for smooth and efficient operations, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.
  • Oversee logistics operations, including fleet management and third-party providers, ensuring global and UK delivery systems run efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Manage inventory, stock control, and warehouse layout optimization to improve space utilization and minimize reverse logistics.
  • Ensure the highest standards of product quality, health and safety compliance, and customer satisfaction across all operational areas.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement long-term strategies and drive continuous improvement across all business operations.
  • Lead change management initiatives, identifying operational inefficiencies and optimizing workflows for greater cost-effectiveness and service delivery.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven leadership experience in operations, ideally within a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Expertise in logistics, warehousing, delivery operations, and retail services.
  • Strong experience with SAP B1 ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), and advanced Excel for analytics and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of global logistics, UK delivery systems, and import/export regulations.
  • IOSH Level 3 or NEBOSH certification (health & safety) is desirable.
  • A hands-on, flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
