DIVISIONAL OVERVIEW
The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third-party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm. CPM has 5 operating pillars:

  1. Finance & Planning: Supports the execution of the firm's strategic objectives through the management of the planning process, firmwide reporting and analytics, and insights into the firm's business plans and budgets.
  2. Spend Management: Encompasses the functions responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third-parties.
  3. Operational Risk & Resilience (ORR): Drives firmwide Operational Risk programs and implements required changes within CPM.
  4. Corporate Insurance & Advisory: Identifies, procures, and manages corporate insurance needs for the firm.
  5. CPM Engineering: Provides engineering solutions that enable the firm to manage third-party spend, data, and automation.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity, and are from diverse academic backgrounds. This role sits within the Operational Risk & Resilience team.

The role requires collaboration with different functions across the firm, independence, and interaction with senior professionals. It entails in-depth data analysis and producing reports for senior management, requiring diligence and a commercial mindset. The candidate is required to work closely with global counterparts and should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Develop ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.
  • Analyse data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate potential risks.
  • Utilise BI tools to develop interactive dashboards to visualize key risk indicators and performance metrics.
  • Identify potential areas to create operational efficiencies and automate manual processes.
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop scalable business processes and data pipelines.
  • Manage prioritization and stakeholder engagement to maximize delivery towards established business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with end users, development managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work within a high-risk environment and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Proficient in database query languages (such as SQL) and Data Visualization (e.g., Tableau, QlikSense).
  • Proficient in prescriptive analytics using tools such as Alteryx.
  • Experience with multi-dimensional data modeling/data warehousing for data analytics and reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a Third-Party Risk Management function within the Financial Services Industry.
  • Data governance and modeling experience.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting requirements with full testing traceability.
  • Experience in predictive analytics using tools such as Alteryx, Python, or R.
  • Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Certified Data Professional) and ETL Tools (e.g., Alteryx Core and Advance certified).
