Job Description

Whinfield Medical Practice requires a 6 session Salaried GP with a view to Partnership.

Being a GP is challenging and we can't change that, but we can and do change the working environment, minimise non-clinical work and provide a supportive team so that you can do what you do best - care for your patients.

About us

Whinfield Medical Practice is an 8 doctor, 3 ANP, 1 GP trainee surgery covering 12000 patients in the North of Darlington.

We have a Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician, Paramedic, an excellent nursing team managing all LTC. First Contact Physio, a skilled admin team who minimise our "paperwork" and are led by a forward-thinking Practice Manager.

Focused on innovation and smarter ways of working.

Total Triage system managed by hub working - safe for patients, ensures urgent issues are seen same day and that all routine appointments have been triaged in advance.

Teach medical students.

Links into PCN.

Regular in-house meetings and access to training, special interest encouraged.

Job responsibilities

Main Responsibilities - The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

Person Specification Experience
  • Evidence of a commitment to ongoing personal & professional development.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Full registration with GMC.
  • Certification of Completion of Training.
