Part of an international organisation, we are a key service provider to DAF Trucks UK and now have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Automotive Warranty Assessor to join us.

About the Technical Warranty Assessor Role:

Working on behalf of a company with a multi-award-winning range of vehicles and reporting to the Warranty Operations Manager, the main aim of the Technical Warranty Assessor is to review, assess, and validate warranty claims submitted by the DAF Trucks UK dealer network, ensuring compliance with warranty policies and manufacturer standards.

We are specifically looking for candidates with strong technical automotive knowledge, ideally within the commercial vehicle or HGV sector.

The role will also include supporting the warranty team by performing warranty administrative tasks and responding to dealer queries as they arise.

This will initially be an office-based position with hybrid working after the induction period and possible travel to DAF Trucks UK dealers.

Where necessary, the assessor will be responsible for developing and implementing robust warranty processes with the Dealer, building strong working relationships with Dealer management and staff whilst driving compliance.

As our Technical Warranty Assessor you will be responsible for:

• Managing the technical claims assessment process on behalf of DAF Trucks UK
• Assessing warranty claims with a strong focus on commercial vehicle components and repair procedures
• Presenting and reviewing warranty claim documentation with DAF Trucks UK management
• Reporting and providing technical insights to DAF Trucks UK management to support decision-making
• Carrying out warranty administrative tasks and responding to dealer queries via phone and email

What We re Looking For:

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicles (HGVs preferred), including components, repairs, and diagnostics
• Previous experience in warranty claims assessment within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or fleet industry
• Knowledge and experience of dealership operations and service processes
• Experience in roles such as vehicle technician, workshop controller, or warranty specialist would be highly beneficial
• Good PC skills in Word, Excel, and Access
• Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
• Ability to build excellent working relationships with dealers and internal teams
• A fair, open, and analytical approach to assessing claims
