This role will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and act as an important conduit between capacity partners and BBEU Programs. Responsibilities: Maintain technical underwriting guides, endorsements, referrals and controls Ensure underwriting quality via quality assurance and assisting in the development of underwriting capability within underwriting teams Provide technical underwriting SME input to assist in system builds and testing Receive and respond to underwriting referrals from the trading underwriting team Contribute to the development of policy wordings and documentation, underwriting guides and rating algorithms Provide technical underwriting expertise in responding to underwriting and claims enquiries Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to underwriters, brokers and insurer partners Implement operational underwriting feedback change as part of ongoing technical development of products Monitor and manage sub-coverholders to ensure they are meeting binder and performance requirements Provide support to Underwriting Director, Commercial Programs across all technical underwriting functional Activities Experience: Previous experience in casualty underwriting Highly organised and self-motivated Excellent numerical and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Skilled user of Microsoft Office suite A-level standard or equivalent Advantageous Previous experience in the delegated authority insurance market Previous experience in commercial package underwriting Previous experience working in a technical underwriting function CII qualified (or working towards)We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
