The successful candidate will work within the school's dedicated SEND base, supporting children with additional needs from EYFS through to Year 6. This is a role where consistency and strong relationships really matter, so the right person needs to be committed to staying long term. About the school & role Located in Reddish area, Stockport, the school is a large mainstream primary setting with around 400 pupils, covering children from nursery through to Year 6. It's situated close to Reddish North railway station and local bus stops, making it accessible for candidates travelling by public transport. You'll be based within the school's dedicated SEND provision, supporting children from EYFS through to Year 6 with a range of additional needs, while remaining part of the wider mainstream school community. This is a full-time, long-term position from September, with stability particularly important for the children being supported. You'll work closely with the wider team to support pupils' learning, communication, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence. The ideal candidate Has genuine experience working with SEND, ideally within a UK school setting. Experience from other sectors such as care, youth work, residential support or similar will also be considered where the skills are transferable. Is reliable, consistent and genuinely committed to a long-term position, understanding how important familiar and trusted adults are for children with additional needs. Is a strong team player who is patient, nurturing and adaptable, with the confidence to support children with a range of SEND needs and contribute positively to the wider school team.
