An automotive component manufacturer based in Witham are looking for a 3D Printing Technician to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company going through fantastic growth, with an order book that keeps expanding! Internal opportunities are a real possibility with that growth. The company work with some of the most luxurious sports cars on the planet and you will get to work on some very exciting projects. We are looking for someone with proven additive manufacturing or 3D printing experience, ideally in an automotive or engineering environment. You will also need knowledge of CAD systems, preferably Catia V5, however solid works or similar would be considered. The role is paying up to 16ph, and the hours of work are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Roles & Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain 3D printing systems Prepare and optimise CAD models for additive manufacturing Design and produce JIGs, fixtures and tooling to support prototype and low-volume production activities Evaluate printed components for dimensional accuracy and mechanical integrity Support prototype and production vehicle builds, providing hands-on technical input and rapid problem-solving Report to the Chief Programmes Officer Qualifications, skills and experience required:- A degree in Mechanical, manufacturing or automotive engineering is preferred, but not essential with enough relevant experience Proven experience in additive manufacturing or 3D printing, ideally within an automotive or engineering environment Knowledge of CAD systems Understanding of additive manufacturing processes.
