What We're Looking For: At least 1 year of experience in commercial pig farming Solid understanding of pig husbandry across different stages A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle Reliable, hardworking, and with a genuine passion for livestock care Tractor/telehandler skills (a plus, but not essential) Willingness to travel to various sites and work alternate weekends What We Offer: £28,000 - £35,000 per year (depending on experience) Employed or self-employed terms Enhanced pay for weekend work Travel allowance Free accommodation - no hidden bills! The business is run alongside Manor Farm Feeds Limited, a compound feed milling business, at the same location. The Role: We are looking for a working Farm Manager to undertake the day-to-day farm operations. The suitable candidate will lead a small team which consists of a mixture of both permanent and temporary staff. They will take a hands-on approach to managing the farm and will be skilled in operating a full range of arable machinery. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of arable cropping, from establishment to harvest Manage farm team Manage farm health and safety Ensure compliance with relevant schemes and ensure all documentation is current Maintain machinery and record accordingly Maximise farm efficiency Liaise with site management Help maintain farm management software system About you: You will have a proven record of arable farming and demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills. The suitable candidate will take a proactive approach to farm management and will demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines, ensuring crop applications are planned and applied in a timely manner. A PA1 / PA2 and Telehandler certificate are essential for this role. Previous experience using GPS and a farm management system such as Omnia would be advantageous but not essential.
