Our client is currently recruiting for a Permanent Telecoms Site Engineer to join rail projects from Manchester to the Southeast. Key Responsibilities: Ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, within planned timescales and in line with quality standards. Accurately record daily progress against planned works and report variances. Assist in managing and coordinating drawings and plans, interfacing with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues on-site. Maintain configuration control and manage change documents, non-conformance, construction logs, and redlines. Monitor technical requirements of work, including subcontractor quality assurance and adherence to quality management plan. Review and approve subcontractor work as stipulated in Inspection and Test Plans. Support CRE by providing all installation documents - ITPs. Install, splice optical fibre. Deploy and test IP networks. Coach and mentor junior staff for testing and installation activities. Job Requirements: Relevant trade/construction experience. Driving Licence. Project safety management experience. Basic IT skills linked to good document management. Telecoms equipment installation - Copper cabling install, termination and testing - FTN/x Installation. City & Guilds 3466 External Fibre Optic Jointing and Testing.
