HIE Education are looking to recruit a Secondary Science Teacher to teach Science for 3-5 days per week at a comprehensive Secondary school in Cheltenham. The Science teaching role is starting in Sept 2024 and will go until the end of the academic year but initially they are looking to cover until Christmas. They are looking at candidates who can cover both or either periods. The Cheltenham Secondary school does have some flexibility. They are also considering Science teachers who can do both part time and full time. The Science role has become available due to some unforeseen personal circumstances. The Science teacher will be able to teach Science to KS3 and KS4. Teaching KS5 is useful but not essential. As previously mentioned the Cheltenham Secondary school does have flexibility so if you prefer to teach Physics, Biology or Chemistry the school may be able to tailor to your strengths. Your new role The role is part time working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, for the month of September, with potential for the role to become more longer term. You must be engaging and able to translate your passion for Chemistry to the pupils. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the Chemistry Teacher job, you will have qualified teacher status or relevant classroom-based teaching experience within the last 2 years. The school is looking for an exceptional Chemistry teacher with strong knowledge of the curriculum to create lesson plans and be comfortable marking.
