What you'll be doing: As a Logistics Operative, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Performing basic checks on trucks, including topping up or changing batteries and gas bottles, and reporting any defects or concerns. Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Clean As You Go (CAYG) procedures are followed using manual and mechanical tools as necessary, while maintaining a clean and tidy work area. Observing health and safety protocols in a busy environment with both pedestrians and vehicles. Communicating effectively with Supervisors, Managers, Drivers, and Visitors. Taking responsibility for allocated tasks and ensuring their completion. Working across various environments, including freezer, chill, ambient areas, and outdoor settings (appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided). Providing Forklift Truck (FLT) support to other departments as needed. Loading and unloading vehicles. Storing stock in designated areas. Issuing stock to the production line. Receiving training on relevant systems and procedures. What we're looking for: The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: A valid Counterbalance Forklift license with at least 12 months of experience. The ability to work unsupervised. A calm demeanour under pressure. Excellent attention to detail. A collaborative team spirit. Flexibility to work in all required areas. Physical capability to lift weights of up to 25kg, demonstrating a reasonable level of fitness. Willingness to work in temperatures as low as -18 degrees when required . Desirable but Not Essential: A Flexi/Bendi truck license (training can be provided for the right candidate). Experience with warehouse scanners and order picking processes.
