Director of Go-to-Market Engineering (Revenue Operations)
Perk Edinburgh, Midlothian
About UsPerk (formerly TravelPerk) is the intelligent platform for travel and spend management. Built to tackle the time-consuming, manual work that gets in the way of real work, our tools automate everything from travel bookings to expenses, invoice processing, and more. By eliminating this shadow work that wastes hours, erodes morale, and saps innovation, we're on a mission to power real work, with real impact. We're trusted by more than 12,000 companies worldwide, including On Running, Breitling, and Fabletics, and we're tackling the 7 hours of lost productivity per employee each week, a $1.7 trillion problem.Founded in 2015, Perk has grown into a global company of more than 1,800 people across 12 offices globally, with headquarters in London and Boston. We combine innovation, control, and simplicity to transform how businesses work and how people feel at work.At Perk, we're driven by our values, like being an owner, delivering a 7-star experience, and working as one team. We value curiosity, purpose, and mindset, not just knowledge, to unlock the power in your potential. Our talent team brings together leading minds from the travel, fintech, and SaaS industries, representing over 70 countries. If you're excited about having a real impact and shaping how millions of people experience work, we'd love you on the team.Visit to learn more. About the Role We are hiring our first Director of Go-to-Market Engineering. Perk's revenue organisation is 800 people selling to more than 10,000 companies. Behind them sits a CRM, an enrichment and signal stack, a growing set of AI agents - and a lot of manual work that no longer needs to exist. You will own GTM Engineering end-to-end: which tools we use, how the architecture fits together, what gets built, and what it does for revenue. You report to the VP of Revenue Operations, lead a small senior team across Europe and North America, and work across SDR, Account Executive, and Account Management - a few high-impact projects each quarter. This is a player-coach role, and we mean it. You will be in Clay, in the orchestration logic, in the agent workflows, building alongside a team doing the same. You're using your experience to guide and coach them to accelerate the pace. The other half of the job is commercial. The best GTM engineers we have met can sit with a regional Sales VP, work out why their pipeline isn't converting, and leave with the right thing to build. That instinct matters more to us than any single tool on a CV. What You'll Do Own the strategy and the stack Define Perk's GTM engineering architecture - how CRM, enrichment, signal, sequencing, orchestration and data layers fit together. Make the tooling calls: what we adopt, what we consolidate, what we retire, and why it pays for itself. Set the roadmap with the VP of Revenue Operations, Sales leadership, and the Revenue Systems and Data teams. Establish the standards the team builds to - version control, documentation, testing, and rollback. Build, hands-on Design and build in Clay: tables, waterfall enrichment, AI columns, webhooks and API integrations in production. Own the orchestration layer - the logic deciding which records enter a workflow, when, and on what criteria. This is where GTM automation succeeds or fails. Build agentic workflows on modern LLM and agent tooling to take research, qualification, summarisation and data entry off people entirely. Write the code the job needs - Python, SQL, SOQL or TypeScript. Automate across SDR, AE, and AM Own account prospecting automation globally: TAM sourcing, enrichment, ICP and intent scoring, prioritisation and distribution. Give AEs their selling time back - CRM autofill, quoting, meeting prep, opportunity hygiene, first outbounds. Build account intelligence for Account Management: risk signals, whitespace, account planning. Take each project from prototype to production properly - instrumented and validated before it scales. Bridge commercial and technical Turn commercial problems into technical architecture, and technical output into impact a revenue VPs recognises. Understand Perk's revenue goals and how to leverage AI capabilities for us to achieve them quicker and more efficiently. Understand and drive clear and tangible commercial outcomes. For example, how to reduce the time that quota-carrying roles spend on non-core activities such as account research, be able to quantify the impact, and clearly communicate the outcomes to leadership. Build the team Lead and grow a small, senior team across Europe and North America. Set clear ownership, and the review discipline that makes shipping fast also means shipping safely. Grow the team's technical depth and commercial judgement in equal measure. What Will Make You Successful Experience Deep background across Revenue Operations, GTM Engineering, Sales Systems, Growth Engineering, or an adjacent technical commercial function in B2B SaaS Proven track record in GTM Engineering specifically, with delivery at real scale - systems hundreds of sellers relied on, not a pilot for one team Time as both a builder and a leader. This role needs both. Technical craft Clay expertise in production - complex tables, waterfall enrichment, webhook integrations and AI column logic that revenue teams actually depended on. Deep Salesforce fluency: the data model, integration patterns, and where the constraints really are. Working proficiency in code - Python, SQL, SOQL, TypeScript or equivalent. You pull your own data. Not all coding languages are necessary, but proficiency in one or some is required. Architecture instincts: you build for scale, monitoring and recovery, not just for the first successful run. Depth across several layers of the modern GTM stack - enrichment and data (Apollo, Clearbit, ZoomInfo, Cognism, PredictLeads), signal and intent (6sense, Bombora, UserGems), sequencing (Outreach, Salesloft), orchestration (n8n, Make, Workato), data infrastructure (Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery) and LLM and agent tooling. Nobody has all of it. We care that you have real depth somewhere and can learn the rest quickly. Commercial instinct You judge your work by whether it moved a commercial metric, not by whether it shipped. You have the credibility with Sales leaders to scope the right build - and to say when automation is the wrong answer. You understand the funnel end to end: TAM, ICP, pipeline generation, conversion, expansion, and the economics underneath. Nice to have Having stood up a GTM engineering function at a high-growth SaaS business, ideally above $100M ARR. Experience taking an automation programme from pilot to global production, including what you learned when it got bumpy. Why This Role GTM Engineering is a discipline being written right now, and most companies are still treating it as a tooling function. This is the chance to own it properly, the stack, the architecture, the build, and the commercial outcome across a $300M+ revenue business with 800 people in the field, a genuine appetite for automation, and the budget and executive backing to move fast. You would be the first person in this seat, with real systems and real data to work with rather than a blank page, and the freedom to decide what Perk's automation layer should look like. There is a lot to go after, the problems are interesting, and the impact is immediate and visible. If you want to build the automation layer of a commercial engine at this scale and you want to still have your hands on it come and build it here. How We Work At Perk, we take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such, this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs. We fundamentally believe in the value of meeting in real life to improve connectivity, productivity, creativity and ultimately making us a great place to work. For certain roles, we can help with relocation from anywhere in the world, English is the official language at the office. Please submit your resume in English if you choose to apply. Do not forget to submit an updated portfolio and/or resume. Perk is a global company with a diverse customer base, and we want to make sure the people behind our product reflect that. We're an equal opportunity employer, which means you're welcome at Perk regardless of how you look, where you're from, or anything else that makes you, well, you.

FINANCE DIRECTOR Interim to Permanent Warwickshire On-site Immediate or short-notice start required The opportunity An established SME manufacturer in the Warwickshire area is seeking a commercially minded, hands-on Finance Director or Senior Financial Controller to lead a significant finance transformation. The role will begin on an interim basis, with a genuine opportunity to move into the permanent Finance Director position. The immediate priority is to create a fully standalone finance function, transitioning the business away from its current shared-service arrangement. You will take ownership of the separation, establish the right controls and reporting, recruit and develop the finance team, and ensure the function can operate independently. This is a broad SME leadership role for someone who can move comfortably between detailed financial delivery and strategic commercial support. You will work closely with the leadership team, bringing greater financial visibility, discipline and insight as the business enters its next phase of growth. Key responsibilities - Lead the transition from a shared-service finance model to a standalone finance function. - Design the target finance structure and recruit, lead and develop the team required to support it. - Establish fit-for-purpose systems, reporting processes, controls and governance. - Take hands-on ownership of the full finance cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and management accounts. - Lead month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely, accurate and decision-useful reporting. - Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital and treasury activities with a strong focus on control and visibility. - Own the annual audit process and maintain an effective relationship with external advisers. - Develop budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, KPIs and management information. - Partner with operational and commercial leaders to improve profitability, margin control and business performance. - Provide clear financial insight and constructive challenge to the leadership team and board. About you You will be a pragmatic finance leader who enjoys building, improving and delivering. The successful candidate is likely to offer: - A recognised professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA. - Proven experience of establishing or separating a finance function, ideally through a carve-out or comparable business transition. - Experience operating as a standalone Finance Director, or as a senior Financial Controller ready to step into a first Finance Director role. - A strong manufacturing, engineering, industrial or automotive finance background - Experience in a private equity-backed business or a similarly fast-paced, autonomous SME environment. - Strong cash management, forecasting, financial control and management reporting capability. - The willingness and technical confidence to remain hands-on while building the team and infrastructure around you. - Commercial judgement, resilience and the ability to influence senior operational stakeholders. Why consider this role? - A visible leadership position with genuine influence over the future shape of the business. - The opportunity to build a finance function, team and operating model rather than inherit a finished structure. - A broad remit combining financial control, operational finance and commercial partnership. - A clear route from an initial interim assignment into a permanent Finance Director appointment for the right person. Location and working pattern The role is based on-site in the Warwickshire area. Candidates should live within a sustainable commuting distance and be comfortable maintaining a strong on-site presence during the transition. Our goal is to become the global leader in trusted, intelligent AI technology, building products that drive better communication, foster connections, and create a meaningful impact. To achieve this, we need talented people like you to join our journey. If you're ready to shape the future of AI and grow your career in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment, DeepL is your next destination. What sets us apart What sets us apart is our blend of cutting-edge AI technology, meaningful work, and a culture where people truly thrive. We're a team of innovators, researchers, and creators driven by a shared purpose to unlock human potential by making work simpler, smarter, and more connected. When we share what it's like to work at DeepL, the reactions are overwhelmingly positive. This might be because of our technology that helps millions of people and businesses communicate and work better every day, or because of the trust, curiosity, and care that shape our culture. What we know for sure is this: being part of DeepL means joining a team dedicated to innovation, growth, and well-being. Discover more about life at DeepL on LinkedIn,Instagram, and our Blog. Meet the team behind this journey Voice for Meetings builds DeepL's real time AI voice technology for professional collaboration. The team works on in call transcription, translation, and voice intelligence, delivered live across the meeting platforms people already use every day. The engineering problems are genuinely hard. Everything happens in real time, latency is measured in milliseconds, and quality is immediately visible to the person on the call. The team sits close to our applied science colleagues, so engineering and research work side by side rather than at arm's length. This is also one of the most consequential products at DeepL right now. Voice for Meetings sits on the critical path for the next phase of the company's growth, which means the work is visible, the decisions matter, and the team has real influence over where the product goes. You will lead a small, senior team and work day to day alongside a Principal Product Manager and the team's most senior technical lead. Your responsibilities As Senior Engineering Manager for Voice for Meetings, you will lead the engineering team building DeepL's real time AI voice products. This is a hands on leadership role. You will be accountable for what the team builds and how well it works, and you will be close enough to the code to have a real opinion about it. Lead, develop, and grow a small team of senior engineers, owning hiring, performance, and career development. Drive end to end delivery of real time voice features from architecture through to production, holding a high bar for quality and pace at the same time. Own the technical direction for your team's systems. Stay close enough to the detail to challenge senior engineers credibly and to get into the code yourself when it helps. Work in a tight loop with your Principal Product Manager and senior technical lead, shaping what gets built rather than receiving a finished plan. Operate confidently at the boundary with applied science. Understand how inference, preprocessing, and training data drift affect the product, and translate between model realities and delivery commitments. Make and communicate clear technical trade offs under real constraints, including latency budgets, model quality, and timelines. Spot risks and gaps beyond your own remit and fix them properly, leaving the teams around you better off rather than just unblocking yourself. Build a high agency, low bureaucracy culture where engineers are trusted to make decisions and take genuine ownership of outcomes. Qualities we look for We care much more about how you think and what you have built than whether your background matches ours exactly. You have managed engineers directly and owned a team's delivery, performance, and development. You have hired people, grown them, and handled the difficult conversations as well as the good ones. You are a builder. You are comfortable in the trenches, you have real technical skills, and you have no interest in managing from a distance. If your hands on skills are a little rusty, that is fine, as long as you want to stay close to the work. You have led teams building product that users touch. Real time systems, streaming, distributed systems at scale, or similar. What matters is that technical depth was the substance of the work rather than a detail in the background. You have enough credibility to earn the confidence of senior engineers. You can reason about architecture, spot the failure modes, and add judgment to a technical decision rather than only facilitating it. You have a pragmatic working understanding of how ML systems behave in production. Inference, preprocessing, data drift, and what breaks when a model meets real users. You do not need to be an ML specialist. You think independently and act without waiting to be asked, and you draw those same instincts out of the people around you. You have strong product and commercial instinct. You frame engineering trade offs in terms of user and business outcomes. You are comfortable when the direction is still forming and priorities compete. Nice to have Experience with voice, speech, or audio technology, including ASR, TTS, or real time audio pipelines. A strong plus rather than a requirement, and we are genuinely open to engineering leaders from other technically demanding domains. You have grown into a senior remit inside one organisation rather than moving on each time the title was available. Experience building in a startup or a small product organisation, including something ambitious that did not work out. Experience integrating with third party platform APIs where you do not control the other side. Experience leading a team through a significant architectural change or technical pivot. What we offer Diverse and internationally distributed team: joining our team means becoming part of a large, global community with people of more than 90 nationalities. We're more than just colleagues; we're a group of professionals with a shared mission to connect diverse cultures. Open communication, regular feedback: as a language-focused company, we value the importance of clear, honest communication. We value smooth collaboration, direct and actionable feedback, and believe that leading with empathy and growth mindset makes us better together. Hybrid work, flexible hours: we offer a hybrid work schedule, with team members coming into the office twice a week. This allows you to engage directly with your team and experience the unique energy of our workspace, while still enjoying the flexibility and comfort of working from home. With flexible working hours and trust in your productivity, we are in sync with your team's general locations and time zones to foster effective and seamless collaboration. Virtual Shares - An ownership mindset in every role. We believe everyone should share in our success, and that's why every employee receives Virtual Shares, linking your contribution directly to DeepL's growth and rewarding you with a stake in our future. Regular in-person team events: we bond over vibrant events that are as unique as our team, from local team and business unit gatherings, to new-joiner onboardings, to company-wide events that bring us all together-literally. Monthly full-day hacking sessions: every month, we have Hack Fridays, where you can spend your time diving into a project you're passionate about and get the opportunity to work with other teams-we value your initiatives, impact, and creativity. 30 days of annual leave: we value your peace of mind. With 30 days off (excluding public holidays) and access to mental health resources, we make sure you're as strong mentally as you are professionally. Competitive benefits: just as our team spans the globe, so does our benefits package. We've crafted it to reflect the diversity of our team and tailored it to align with your unique location, to ensure you feel supported every step of the way. We are an equal opportunity employer You are welcome at DeepL for who you are - we appreciate authenticity here. Our product is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all succeed, contribute, and think forward! So bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It's in our diversity that we will find the power to break down language barriers in the world.

Founding Member of Technical Staff
Sampura
About Sampura Research is an AI safety research non-profit focused on scalable oversight for frontier models through improved human/AI "judges". Judges (LLM, human, or a hybrid) are essential for aligning highly capable models through their use in evaluation and training. Limitations in today's judges can lead to undesirable behavior such as reward hacking in training, or failure to spot misalignment in evaluation. As models become more capable and their data more complex, often beyond what the systems overseeing them can understand, we expect these limitations to grow in severity and to become harder to notice. We are designing novel judge protocols which leverage the strengths of both humans and models to outperform either alone, and building high-quality evaluations to explore judge performance across a diverse set of safety-related tasks. We believe that our focused approach will rapidly advance the science of judges by providing a much-needed systematic measurement of which protocols actually work, and producing state-of-the art judges which can be used in real world training and evaluation pipelines. Backed by an $11M grant from Coefficient Giving ($7M for the first year, and another $4M pledged), Sampura Research was founded in 2026 by members of DeepMind's alignment and human data teams. Please see our announcement for more information. Role Overview As a founding Member of Technical Staff, you will help shape the research and engineering direction alongside the founding team, and own end-to-end research and engineering problems within our agenda: Evaluation: Build diverse and high-quality evaluations for judge protocols by pulling from existing datasets/literature and creating novel datasets from scratch. Methods: Research and implement strategies for improving judge performance through hybridization, such as learning-to-defer, human assistance, or other mechanisms. Infrastructure: Build the tools required to enable and scale our research agenda, including large-scale inference/evaluation pipelines, a human rating platform, and a robust public leaderboard. We've budgeted roughly $1M per quarter for compute and human data, across a team of fewer than ten, to ensure that we can commit to ambitious goals in all of these areas. You'll scope ambiguous problems independently, communicate progress clearly, and synthesize findings into papers, blog posts, and benchmark releases. Staff hires may also lead research and mentorship programs through paid fellowships or volunteer research focused on evaluation or methods work. If our work and mission resonate with you, please consider applying even if you don't tick every box. We strongly believe in investing in excellent people regardless of prior or formal experience. You may be a good fit if you have A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent experience. Proficiency coding in Python or similar languages, as well as machine learning and analysis tooling (e.g., JAX, PyTorch, Pandas). Experience working with large language models, human-in-the-loop data annotation systems, or AI evaluation frameworks. A willingness to embrace AI tools intelligently, applying scrutiny and human review where necessary. A track record of exploring and resolving open-ended research questions with rigor, in academic or industry labs, fellowships, or volunteer research programs. Outstanding candidates will have Demonstrated ownership across multiple parts of the AI research lifecycle (experiment design and execution, infrastructure, data collection and processing, inference). Expertise in a highly relevant domain such as model confidence/calibration, interpretability, safety/alignment evaluation, human-computer interaction, or other fields related to scalable oversight. Hands-on experience with post-training methods such as reinforcement learning, adversarial fine-tuning, or distillation, especially applied to judges or reward models. Leadership as a mentor or team lead for related research, either inside a research lab or via programs like SPAR, MARS, or MATS. Salary Range: Junior hires: £100,000-£150,000 ( $136,000-$205,000) Senior hires: £150,000-£200,000 ( $205,000-$273,000) Staff hires: £200,000-£290,000 ( $273,000-$395,000) Approximate USD conversion as of 24 August 2026. Exceptional students/new-grads and early-career individuals will often come in at the junior level. Researchers or engineers with several relevant years of experience will often come in at the senior level. Staff hires typically bring deep expertise in a directly relevant area at notable research labs, and have led research programs or teams. We'll agree a target level with you early in the process, and may reassess as you progress. Logistics: Location: This role is based on-site in London. Visa Sponsorship: We offer visa sponsorship for this role. Start Dates: We are hiring 2 FTEs targeting a late-September 2026 start, and 2 more starting January 2027. We will continue hiring more FTEs later in 2027. We will review applications on a rolling basis, so please apply ASAP. Equal Opportunity: Sampura Research is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team with diverse backgrounds and perspectives and believe this makes our research and workplace better. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, age, disability, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, or any other protected characteristic.
