Your role will be to support the design and build of initial product concepts through to detailed design, testing, prototype builds, commercialisation and production. This role will be a mix of delivering establish product production requirements as well as working on new products for future revenue generation. Key Accountabilities:- Design Develop renewable energy (RE) design specifications as solutions for grid constraint applications in liaison with project leads and in line with agreed design procedures, Ensure all designs are compliant with relevant standards (mainly BS7671 and BS EN 61439) and are fit for purpose, Identity and rectify design issues throughout the project life cycle, Prepare detailed design costing reports for sign off, Maintain and build an understanding of RE systems and power sources (e.g., PV panels, batteries, fuel cells, monitoring systems) for bespoke design applications, Develop design procedures for new products, Specify, source, and procure components, Technical input into the optimisation and development of existing products, Design robust communications solutions for remote monitoring solutions, Keep up to date with technical developments and actively research new technologies for grid constraint renewable energy solutions, Assist project leads on understanding customer requirements in order to develop solutions for commercialization.
