Role Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach across KS3 and KS4, covering a broad range of sports and physical activities, including team games, individual sports, fitness, and health-based PE. Create an inclusive, motivating, and safe learning environment that encourages full participation and skill development. Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those requiring additional support. Monitor pupil progress, assess performance, and provide constructive feedback to promote achievement and personal growth. Prepare students for internal assessments, inter-school competitions, and GCSE PE where applicable. Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and ongoing departmental improvement. Support extracurricular activities such as sports clubs, school teams, competitions, and enrichment events. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching PE at KS3-KS4. Strong subject knowledge across a variety of sports and activities. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage learners. A genuine passion for promoting physical education, wellbeing, and active lifestyles in young people. A female PE specialist is required to support the delivery of the girls' curriculum.
