Position Summary The Research Vessel (R/V) Chief Engineer serves as Chief Engineer on the R/V Virginia. This position may provide shoreside or seagoing support for other vessels in the VIMS fleet if needed. The Chief Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring that all federal and state maritime regulations, as they relate to engineering, are observed and complied with during the operation of R/V Virginia. The position also ensures that all VIMS rules and policies are followed. Senior HVAC Engineer required in the south of England region for our client, a leading HVAC company that has 6 regional offices and has been expanding since it formed over 20 years ago. They offer their customers a complete turnkey solution for the installation, service, maintenance, fault finding and repair on a range of HVAC equipment. Their client base consists of long-standing client relationships with clients such as David Lloyd Leisure, Vue Cinemas, Cineworld, Tate & Lyle, Radisson Hotels, Hilton, Malmaison & more. Senior HVAC Engineer Salary & Benefits Basic Salary £40,000 - £50,000 DOE Company Van - Optional Personal Use of the vehicle Profit share scheme applicable after 12 months' service - Up to £3,600 tax free Overtime paid at 1.5x 40 hour working week, travel paid after 30 mins each way On call allowance (1 in 4/5, £1,200 guaranteed - if called out Travel Paid door to door) Pension 22 days' holidays plus bank holidays this will increase to 25 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years. Company uniform, phone & PDA Senior HVAC Engineer Job Overview The Senior HVAC Engineer must hold strong technical ability & knowledge on a variety of HVAC equipment. The Senior Engineer will be tasked with more complex remedial tasks & will also provide technical support & training to the company's more junior engineers. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for client facing duties & must hold previous experience at this level of client contact.
