Recent Chemistry graduate with experience as a Buyer or Purchaser in a manufacturing organisation required to lead a purchasing process optimisation project for a leading speciality chemical manufacturer with sites in Greater Manchester and Yorkshire. Role / Description Leading a purchasing process optimisation project internally Understanding the current purchasing and stock management processes Identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiencies Using the internal ERP (Sage ERP), and utilising the system to its full potential Managing the full procurement process for a range of speciality chemicals Negotiating contracts with suppliers Creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the suppliers Liaising with multiple departments in the business including Supply Chain and Operations Attending trade shows and networking events to keep abreast of industry trends.
